La Claire Fontaine

You can kayak down the Ourthe and its wooded slopes or discover Lake Nisramont and its wild environment.
We can reserve kayaks for 1 or 2 persons for you.  Two itineraries of different length are on offer through one of the most picturesque parts of the Ourthe. From Nisramont to La Roche:  25 km – duration of the trip:  4 to 6 hours; from Maboge to La Roche:  10 km – duration of the trip: 2 to 4 hours.  A bus will take you to the embarkation point and your vehicle will be waiting for you when you arrive.  In winter you can enjoy rafting -- water levels and flow permitting.

Mountain Bike

Known for its steep hillsides, the region of La Roche-Houffalize will delight all mountain bike enthusiasts.
We place mountain bikes at your disposal, together with a map of the region with all the different sign-posted circuits; a guide for your group is also possible.

Road cycling

It’s fun to discover the region through many small routes that link the scattered villages or via newly created Ravel routes.

Horseback riding

Beautiful vistas, rough trails, stream crossings await in the Nature Reserve of the 2 Ourthes to which you are invited by our preferred partner “L’écurie des 2 Ourthes» [The stable of the 2 Ourthes] from the hotel or from the village of Warempage.  Professionals on "Anglo-Arab" thoroughbreds are on hand to guide seasoned riders.  If you are a beginner, another partner can cater to your needs, from the Village of Roy.

The Upper Ourthe is the perfect place for beginners and veterans alike.  A permit is required, while fishing rods can be rented from the hotel.

La Roche and the Nature Reserve of the 2 Ourthes feature several hikes with specific levels of difficulty, so that you can find the hike that’s just right for you.

Hiking paths can be accessed directly from the hotel. They will take you to the villages of Beausaint or Cielle that overlook the valley; from there you can reach La Roche or discover the small valleys of tributaries of the Ourthe. These walks can last from one and a half to several hours, depending on your choice.
Beausaint is on the left slope of the Ourthe: a path revolves round the slopes of the plateau which affords an uninterrupted view of the surrounding countryside, at the junction of the Beausaint cross, for one of the vastest panoramas in the Ardennes.
Cielle is on the other slope: a route takes you there.  Once you have followed this road for 1 km, you can also take a trail that will lead you through the wood of La Roche to the Deister forest park. Endowed with a playground and a rest area, it plays host to thirty different forest species on 15 hectares: a game reserve with a cafeteria are nearby. From the forest park, a trail leads you to a panoramic viewpoint that affords a marvellous vista of La Roche. On a lower level is the Chapel of Saint Marguerite, an oratory built in 1600 and partially cut in the rock.
From the hotel, a quiet road also leads you to La Roche along the valley (2 km).

Golf (Durbuy - Méan - Clervaux)
